WAYNE Rooney had a lucky escape when he hit a bad corner — and went for a terrifying spin in his new Lamborghini.
The Man U and England ace was driving to a restaurant when he lost control of his £200,000 Italian supercar.
Roo, 21, ended up facing the wrong way on the busy A6 between Manchester and Macclesfield.
But he escaped unhurt and was able to restart his Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. Next day striker Rooney — hero of United’s 3-2 Champions League win on Wednesday — told team-mates about his close shave.
A source said: “Wayne had a real fright. The car is seriously powerful. He only had it delivered a week or so ago and was finding out what it could do. He learned his lesson and is taking his foot off the gas now.”
Rooney ordered the car before Christmas. It does 0-60mph in 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of 195mph.
